A database made at someone’s request, sourcing data from auto123.com, a website with unforeseeable updates.
Coverage: cars sold in Canada 1990-2021 but complete for 1990-2017 only, many new cars missing (for 2020 and 2021 it contains only American cars and nothing from Europe and Japan imports). See Statistics sheet inside SAMPLE file for exact coverage for each make.
If you don’t deal with too new cars, Canada may be still a good database to buy, if new cars are crucial for you, please buy instead United States car database which is always up-to-date.

History
Canada car database was the LAST of the 10+ databases requested by an Indian company I was working for in 2018-2019, they suggested me to scrap data from www.auto123.com (if anyone else thinks that this is BAD website and know a better one, please tell).
I started this project in September 2019, after few days of work I successfully extracted URLs of 53,000 car models as 29 September 2019, and had written scraper to extract 150+ car specs from each URL, but did not had chance run scraper for specs too and analyze data extracted (I suspect that it had many duplicates)… HDD crashed on 1 october 2019 made me to lose half of projects done last 2 months including Canada scraper code + data, forcing me to halt work for Indian company, to save time for re-doing other lost projects, I did not recreated Canada car database because I assumed that Canadian customers can buy United States car database (almost same cars are sold in both countries).
Over time few customers told me that would be interested in having a Canada car database in addition of United States one. I told to people contacting me from Canada in 2021 that I will create soon a Canada car database, to leave me their emails so I can announce them when I complete this project, but I was facing trouble du to inconsistency between production models and discontinued models, also some models have directly trims under models, other cars have model > submodel > trim. I did not remembered exactly what solution I used in 2019 so I put project ON HOLD again to focus on other (easier) projects.
Given by high number of people interested, on 13 October 2021 I (re)started coding scraper for this project and published this page with “coming soon” message. I realized that make pages list some models multiple times, model pages also list submodels and when running scraper on each submodel I got trims of all submodels of a model, etc, thus got many duplicates (this happened in 2019 when I got 53,000+ models). After removing duplicates, I found 37485 unique cars.
List of updates
I published Canada database on 23 October 2021 after 10 days of work, but this turned into a disappointment. I don’t know how complete was www.auto123.com in 2019, but currently it is lagging in updates.
As 15 October 2021 I found 75 makes, 1052 models, 13834 model years, 37485 trims. Number of cars for model years 2018 and 2019 is smaller than average for 1990-2017, and for 2020 and 2021 it contains only American cars and nothing from Europe and Japan imports). Mercedes last year is 2017: https://www.auto123.com/en/new-cars/search/mercedes/
As 27 January 2022 I found 75 makes, 935 models, 11367 model years, 29662 trims, all 2021 models were removed as well as 70% of 2020 models, most years have less number of cars compared with October, number of trims increased only for 1993-1995 years, making me concerned about intentions of people behind auto123.com website.
The only good thing is that I haven’t published Canada database for sale in 2019, otherwise would have been today more customers demanding updates that I cannot provide. Should I stop selling Canada car database?
