The Sims 2 lots & houses built by Teoalida

I planned this condominium using AutoCAD to make it as big as possible while keeping under limit of 2100 wall segments. I made 4 identical blocks with 9 floors, floors 1-7 having 136 squares and 60 wall segments, floor 8 having 88 squares and 44 wall segments, floor 9 having 24 squares and 20 wall segments. total 1936 wall segments. Then I built half-height walls that do not count towards wall limit. Then I build foundation and pool that does count towards wall limit but can be built even after 2100 limit was reached. It took about 5 hours to build in October 2018.

StrangerVille

StrangerVille is a world introduced in The Sims 4: StrangerVille. It resembles a stereotypical rural desert town in the Southwestern United States, mostly inspired by the state of Arizona and Area 51.

Del Sol Valley

Del Sol Valley is a world that was introduced in The Sims 4: Get Famous. It is a big suburban area of a city, located near an ocean, and is focused on various celebrity Sims, both new and old. It is based on Los Angeles, especially Hollywood and Hollywood Hills.

Oasis Landing

Oasis Landing is a futuristic sub-world shipped with The Sims 3: Into the Future. It is set in the distant future, relative to other worlds in The Sims series.

The Sims 4 career tracks and jobs

I compiled an Excel database with all career tracks and job positions, showing also job description, salary, work days, daily tasks and promotion requirements, etc. As end-2022 the database contain 46 career tracks of which 35 have details for 441 jobs.

Selvadorada

Selvadorada is a destination world in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure. It is based on the Latin American region surrounded by vast expanses of jungle and hidden ruins to explore, with a small settlement of which Sims can interact with locals, try out food or purchase adventure gear.

Shang Simla is a peaceful community set near a mountainous area of China near the Great Wall. It was founded by a group of monks with an ethos of discipline and Martial Arts.

Sims University is a university sub-world in The Sims 3: University Life. Only Sims who are aged from Young Adult to Elder can travel to the university.

The Sims 3 career tracks and jobs

I compiled an Excel database with all career tracks and job positions, showing also job description, salary, work days, skills and responsibilities required, etc. Creating this Excel table was more difficult compared with The Sims 1 and 2, because The Sims 3 have careers some with 2 branches (paying hourly), professions (paying weekly) and part-time jobs, in total 49 careers and 482 job positions. Summary of salaries is shown in this table:

Brindleton Bay

Brindleton Bay is a world that was introduced in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs. It is a big coastal town surrounded by beaches and various pets related activities. It is based on typical New England seafront towns.

Twikkii Island

Twikkii Island is a Tropical-themed sub-neighborhood that appears in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage as a vacation destination.

It contains 13 lots, of which 7 community lots, 4 lodging lots, 2 vacation homes, and 0 families living in.

Secret Vacation Lot: The Mysterious Hut, occupied by the Witch doctor.

Al Simhara is an ancient land built against a river, full of magic and mystery. It is found in Egypt and features activities and items drawn from Egyptian culture.

Forgotten Hollow

Forgotten Hollow is a world introduced in The Sims 4: Vampires. It is comprised of 5 lots; 4 residential and 1 empty lot.

Forgotten Hollow is a centuries-old neighbourhood with a mix of Victorian and old Transylvanian architectural style. The world is scattered with tombstones, withered foliage and creeping fog, as well as gargoyles and other stone statues. The world contains only a single neighbourhood with 5 lots surrounding a central plaza, and at the center there is a memorial statue of Vlad, the founder of Forgotten Hollow.

This world is unique compared to other worlds in The Sims 4, because night time lasts a lot longer here than in other worlds, meaning vampires can stay out for longer without the risk of being burnt in the sun.

Three Lakes

Three Lakes is a mountain-themed sub-neighborhood that appears in Bon Voyage as a vacation destination.

It contains 12 lots, of which 6 community lots, 4 lodging lots, 2 vacation homes, and 0 families living in.

Champs Les Sims

Champs Les Sims was settled towards the end of the Medieval period and has a rich history and culture. The town is modeled on rustic small towns in France.

San Myshuno

The Sims 4 worlds

San Myshuno is a world introduced in The Sims 4: City Living. It is a coastal city surrounded by mountains, with a river running through the middle. It is packed with many diverse Sims of different cultures and sprawling with activities and festivals. This world is based on a variety of modern cities from around the world like Tokyo, San Francisco and New York City and also features elements of Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Moroccan cultures. Its geography resembles that of Hong Kong. San Myshuno is the only world in The Sims 4 to feature apartments and penthouses.

It contains 11 lots, of which 6 community lots, 3 lodging lots, 2 vacation homes, and 0 families living in.

How to build taller than 5 floors

By default, The Sims 2 allow you to built up to 5 levels. This means houses like basement + 3 floors + roof or terrace. You can eliminate the basement, or built an underground floor inside basement. There is a TRICK that allow building 6 levels: put a dormer on the highest level, but this will not allow anymore stepped roofs taller than one floor.

University Expansion Pack allows to change the floor limit: press Ctrl+Shift+C when you are in Neighborhood (NOT in a lot), type sethighestallowedlevel 16 (or any number up to 255), then open any lot and you can built more levels. If the height limit was reached, just put a dormer to unlock the limit.

The Sims free download

In 2014 EA Games offered The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for free download via Origin for a limited time of one week. Only people who grabbed the free download at right time can re-download the game at any time. Sadly, I missed the moment.

I planned this condominium using AutoCAD to make it as big as possible while keeping under limit of 2100 wall segments. I made 5 blocks with 8 floors, each floor having 116 squares and 52 wall segments. 52 x 8 x 5 = 2080 wall segments. Gate uses remained 20 wall segments. Then I built half-height walls, 24 segments per floor x 8 x that do not count towards wall limit, roof terrace with 66 x 5 half-height walls. Then I build foundation tall like one floor and pool that does count towards wall limit but can be built even after 2100 limit was reached. It took about 5 hours to build in September 2018.

The Sims is a game meant to build houses, but I can also build a skyscraper… or two, the twin towers of World Trade Center, completed by Marriott Hotel and the 3 additional low-rise buildings.

Because the game do not display in neighborhood view flooring above 150 steps from ground, had to cover building using a pitched roof. 15 floors is the maximum height possible using SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat, without crashing game.

The Empire Tower is a The Sims 2 optimized version of Empire State Building, because the game do not display in neighborhood view flooring above 150 steps from ground, had to cover building using a pitched roof. 15 floors is the maximum height possible using SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat, without crashing game. The Sims is a game meant to build houses, but I can also build a skyscraper. Well… I had to downsize it from 86 floors + 16 floors spire, to 9 floors + 3 floor spire.

Apartment block

Apartment-like block built for visual experiment. In The Sims 3 there is no cheat of building more than 5 floors so this is the tallest building I can make.

Windenburg

Windenburg is a world introduced in The Sims 4: Get Together. Its architectural design—dominated by timber-framed houses—and its structural design, in combination with modern city aspects, is heavily based on central and southern regions of Germany. Castle-like ruins can be found on the mainland and most of The Island is surrounded by crumbling man-made walls. These ruins are inspired by Gothic buildings in Europe and they indicate the old age of the city.
