The Sims 2 lots & houses built by Teoalida

Apartment block U shaped

Apartment block U-shaped

An apartment block intelligently designed to make its external shape as complex is possible, 44 segments of facade, while internal rooms are all rectangular. It feature a very efficient floor plan with two big rooms living and dining 7×6 squares, three bedrooms 4×4 squares, two bathrooms 4×2 an 3×2 squares, each room having 2 doors to other rooms to prevent sims getting stuck.

Modern Symmetry

Modern Symmetry 2×3 N 260

My second Modern House, a more realistic version of The Cube of Glass, now having internal walls instead of open floor plan. This home contains four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and plenty of unused space should be enough even for a family of eight Sims. Made in October 2012.

Home Alone House

Home Alone house 3×3 S 396

I built in The Sims 2 the famous house of Kevin McCallister from favorite movies: Home Alone 1 & 2, in September 2012, after I got its location and floor plan (671 Lincoln Street, Winnetka, Illinois, a 2-story house plus attic and basement, 4250 square feet, built in 1921). A luxury property for families up to 8 sims, decorated including the rear garage and minivan seen in movie, but it resulted a messy floor plan.

Savarsin Castle

Săvârşin Castle 3×3 S 451

This is a The Sims 2 replica of the castle located in Săvârşin vilage in Romania, built in 17th century. I designed it in The Sims 2 in September 2018, featuring 4 bedrooms for families up to 8 sims, 4 bathrooms, living room, dining room with 12 seats, 3 TVs, 2 pianos, 2 desks with computers, 2 empty desks, etc.

Pyramid House

Pyramid house 3×3 W 268

Inspired from Egypt pyramids or Luxor Hotel from Las Vegas, this The Sims house is shaped like a pyramid and feature 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so it can be home for families up to 8 Sims. Made in October 2018, this is the first house designed by me where I decorated interior in stone and bricks, instead of wood and carpet seen in most of my houses. The interior receive daylight via windows even if the windows are not visible from outside, because are under roof.

Palace of the Empire

Palace of the Empire 6×5

I designed several polylines in AutoCAD that does calculate perimeter for each, adjusted the polylines to find the optimal shape to make the building to appear as large and tall is possible while keeping it under the limit of 2100 wall segments and basement + 14 floors (adding 1 more floor would cause game to crash).

American Home

American Home 2×2 E 131

Is possible to have a single-story house with driveway and swimming pool, on a 2×2 lot? YES! Designed in August 2012 for a family of 4 Sims, in American Style: asymmetrical, asymmetrical, siding wall covers, front porch and carport. Improved September 2018 changing furniture and removing fences.

The Imperial Tower

The Imperial Tower

The Imperial Tower is a The Sims 2 optimized version of Empire State Building, because the game do not display in neighborhood view flooring above 150 steps from ground, had to cover building using a pitched roof. 15 floors is the maximum height possible using SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat, without crashing game. Sister building with Empire Tower.

Condominium 4x136

Condominium 4 blocks S 136

I planned this condominium using AutoCAD to make it as big as possible while keeping under limit of 2100 wall segments. I made 4 identical blocks with 9 floors, floors 1-7 having 136 squares and 60 wall segments, floor 8 having 88 squares and 44 wall segments, floor 9 having 24 squares and 20 wall segments. total 1936 wall segments. Then I built half-height walls that do not count towards wall limit. Then I build foundation and pool that does count towards wall limit but can be built even after 2100 limit was reached. It took about 5 hours to build in October 2018.

Condominium 5x116

Condominium 5 blocks N 116

I planned this condominium using AutoCAD to make it as big as possible while keeping under limit of 2100 wall segments. I made 5 blocks with 8 floors, each floor having 116 squares and 52 wall segments. 52 x 8 x 5 = 2080 wall segments. Gate uses remained 20 wall segments. Then I built half-height walls, 24 segments per floor x 8 x that do not count towards wall limit, roof terrace with 66 x 5 half-height walls. Then I build foundation tall like one floor and pool that does count towards wall limit but can be built even after 2100 limit was reached. It took about 5 hours to build in September 2018.

The Pinnacle Tower

The Pinnacle Tower

The Pinnacle Tower is the largest of the series of skyscrapers I build in The Sims 2. Because the game do not display in neighborhood view flooring above 150 steps from ground, had to cover building using a pitched roof. 15 floors is the maximum height possible using SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat, without crashing game.

The Empire Tower

Sister building with Imperial Tower.

The Vertical Tower

The Vertical Tower

The Vertical Tower is the simplest of the series of skyscrapers I build in The Sims 2. Because the game do not display in neighborhood view flooring above 150 steps from ground, had to cover building using a pitched roof. 15 floors is the maximum height possible using SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat, without crashing game.

Terraced Houses

Terraced Houses 1×2

Do you thought that is impossible to built terraced houses aka townhomes in The Sims 2? These houses were built on larger lots then the lot was shrunk using Lot Adjuster, which allows reducing the non-buildable area with 1 square. You cannot built walls on lot limits, but you can make buildings that apparently continue from one lot to another. Looks nice in neighborhood view!

Palace II

Palace II 3×4 (2012)

This is a more efficient version of the first Palace (a replica of Floresti’s Trianon Palace). Palace II is smaller, but have a bigger disco room, staircases are facing to street (as they should), and the floorplan was designed to optimize furniture placements rather than to replicate a real building. Contains 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 6 other rooms, connected with double doors to prevent traffic jams. Designed for large families of 8 Sims.

Asymmetrical House

Asymmetrical House 2×2

Third edition of Asymmetrical House, made in July 2013, improved with better interior layout and more rooms, it is one of the most efficient house layouts made by me. Living, dining, kitchen, 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bathrooms. Every room have 2 doors to prevent traffic jams. Originally intended for families of 4 sims, it proved enough spacious so I added an extra bed, for 6 sims.

Condominium

Condominium 4 blocks 198

Four identical tower blocks built around a little pool. Designed for aesthetic purpose only, somewhat inspired from Brazil buildings. During building this, I encountered the Limit of wall segments so I had to redesign the blocks thinner. The interior is empty, just 8 cheap lights per floor to take night screenshots. Made in 2013.

Asymmetrical House

Asymmetrical House 2×3

This home is a spontaneous idea (house built without any pre-planning) made after a friend criticized my The Sims homes for being unrealistic, too much symmetry, too bright colors, told me to use brick. There are 5 rooms in the house, which may be used as 3 bedrooms, 1 den, 1 disco room. Made in April 2013. Redesigned in September 2018 to remove fences and dark green grass and replace bricks with siding.

Tiny House

House on a Tiny 1×2 Lot IV

This is an improved version of Tiny House I which was criticized for lack of realism and too few rooms, combined with the beautiful style of Tiny House II. Home plan designed with separate kitchen and 3 bedrooms at upper floor, and completed with a small swimming pool  Designed for families up to 4 Sims.

Starter Home

Best Starter Home 2×2 N 80

Starter house under $20.000 designed for a family up to 4 sims. This home floor plan with 2 bedrooms is more realistic than previous Best starter home 1×2. Made in April 2013.

The 2×2 lot costs $1600. The empty house costs $6971, for the non-functional items (counters, table, windows, floors, wall paint) I used the cheapest items to save money for the best possible furniture items that fit in a $20.000 house.

Shotgun Starter Home

Shotgun Starter Home 1×2 N 88

The Sims starter home under $20.000 designed for a family up to 4 sims, modeled based on shotgun houses, originating from New Orleans and common in south states from 1830s to 1920s, single-story, 3-4 meters wide and 20+ meters long, having 3-5 rooms in row, entrances in the endmost rooms and no hallways. In The Sims 2 house I cheated a little and made entrance in the second room, for purpose of layout optimization.
