Best Starter Home 2×2 N 80

Starter house under $20.000 designed for a family up to 4 sims. This home floor plan with 2 bedrooms is more realistic than previous Best starter home 1×2. Made in April 2013.

The 2×2 lot costs $1600. The empty house costs $6971, for the non-functional items (counters, table, windows, floors, wall paint) I used the cheapest items to save money for the best possible furniture items that fit in a $20.000 house.

Tips: as soon you move the family in this house, sell one bed, buy a computer instead, to find a greater variety of jobs, after each adult have a job, sell the computer and buy back the bed until midnight.

If you have expansion packs, use the cheat “roofslopeangle 15“, will look nicer with less pitched roof.

Lot size: 2×2.
Lot facing: North.
House price: $19.985 furnished, $6.971 unfurnished.
House size: 8×10.
Floor area: 80 squares.
Expansions required: none, base game only.

Tiny House

My second The Sims 3 home, inspired by exterior of Tiny House I ‎and interior of Tiny House II built by me in The Sims 2.
I used the smallest lot available in Sunset Valley (16×18) instead of regular 20×30 lot, to make it compatible with possible 20×20 lots in other worlds. Feel free to decorate landscape after placing in your desired lot size.

Lot size: 16×18 (smallest lot in Sunset Valley).

Expansions required: none, The Sims 3 base game only.

Symmetrical House 2×2 Palace

Part of the series of 2×2 symmetrical houses, this one is the largest. This is an example of how a small 2×2 lot can fit a large house suitable for large families of 8 Sims, plus pool and garage. Notice how the space reserved for garage is integrated in a house with foundation. I used the cheat boolprop constrainfloorelevation false/true.

The Cube of Glass

The Sims 2 graphics are beautiful during night, especially in a house plenty of windows. So how about a house with glass walls and open floor plan? A simple home composed by one noisy lower floor and one quiet upper floor, made with Open for Business in June 2012.

This UGLY CUBE is actually a very efficient home even for a family of 8, in size of 288 squares… do you have questions, especially about bladder?

L-Shaped house – Edition 2008

Since The Sims 1 era, the L-shaped houses were the basic accommodation for my family of 6 sims (I was playing 1 family all time), with pool, stairway leading to balcony, and I loved to fill entire courtyard with flowers.

Lot facing: South.
House price: about $110.000.
